Is the bike electric?
Yes. Oslo is a city that is certainly rich in hills. An electric bike can help with longer travel and more comfort.
Do I need to download an app?
No, our system is integrated with Facebook messenger and WeChat. We are looking to expand to more platforms as we move forward. If you are not a user of any of these platforms, you may need to exercise some patience with us.
Questions about the bike?
The bike has a modest size of 20inch wheels designed for city tour. We are bringing more diverse services as we continue to expand.
What if I am running out of battery in the middle of my trip?
Rest assured, you can still ride and return the bike even if the battery is flat. You just wouldn’t be able to accelerate.
When can I start biking?
Oslobike’s service is available from 09:00 to 22:00 every day. Enjoy your riding!
Is the bike GPS tracked?
The bike is anti-theft, as it is integrated with a built in GPS tracking system and GMS. Moreover, the bike’s power system is activated automatically whenever the bike is unlocked and deactivated when locked.
How much do you charge?
For the launching price, we charge 19NOK for every 30min. pay as you go.
Do I pay a deposit?
No. We authorize the credit to trigger the use. It works in a manner that’s similar to hotel reservation principle. You wont’be charged until the trip is completed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit card, Vipps, and WeChat.
What responsibility I have over the bike.
1). You must be above 18 year’s old to ride the bike. 2).Do not damage it or lose it. You should always remember to lock it manually when parking. A lost bike cost 8000NOK.
What’s the difference between “park” the bike and “return” the bike?
You could always temporarily park the bike for a coffee break or visit a site attraction, as long as it is parked legally. However, you should always return the bike to the spots when you end your trip. Otherwise, you will incur an extra cost of 199NOK for bike transportation.
